Job Description

As a host with guiding responsibilities, you play an important role in creating memorable moments with us. You will work throughout our beautiful park and meet our visitors daily.

At our main entrance, you will be the one to welcome and have the opportunity to guide our visitors early on to a wonderful stay with us, tailored to what is happening in our program and the visitor's interests. You will assist and answer any questions, suggest and inspire them to new discoveries in our park, and recommend our popular guided tours and products for an enhanced and new experience with us.

Your workday also extends beyond the entrance, and you will meet our visitors during tours, in our exhibitions, in our shop, and at other experiences and events that we organize. We have a large number of visitors from countries other than Sweden, and you will therefore use both Swedish and English during your workdays with us. It is important that you feel comfortable with this, and we look forward to your development throughout the season.

As a host with guiding responsibilities, you will guide both larger and smaller visitor groups based on our established tours. We want you to take center stage, and you will have the opportunity to adapt the tour based on the group's interests and your personal style.

All new hires will receive a solid and inspiring introduction before and at the start of your employment, where you will get the right conditions to do a good job and have fun at the same time. We will go through our tours, our program, and what our hospitality encompasses. You will also have the opportunity to get to know us better and vice versa. If you are offered a position as a guide, we will also train you in guiding techniques and work regularly throughout the season with feedback and coaching.

As you are beginning to understand, the work is varied and is greatly affected by the weather and the number of visitors. The season will include very eventful days with a high pace and plenty of visitors in our park, but also significantly quieter days where there is room for fine-tuning and development ideas. There are often physically demanding tasks, especially in connection with the establishment of events and weddings.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed as a host and guide, you need to enjoy and feel comfortable meeting new people. Your way of communicating inspires trust and is easy to understand. You use your language and body language to welcome, inspire, sell, and create enthusiasm.

You also have a strong desire to help others, both visitors and colleagues, and can adapt your approach based on the situation and emerging needs. You understand your part in the whole and take initiative and help where needed. You are unafraid of new situations and can handle both eventful periods and quieter days.

In addition to your previous experience, we place great importance on your personal profile and how you complement our existing team.

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• fluent Swedish in speech and writing
• good English in speech

For the role of guide, prior experience working as a guide is required, and you should feel comfortable guiding in both Swedish and English. It is also highly meritorious if you can guide in other languages, especially Danish and/or German.

We would also like you to have:

• experience in other work where you have met visitors and customers or previous engagement in community life
• upcoming high school graduation in spring 2026 or from previous years is meritorious
• previous experience in hospitality and communicative guest contacts
• previous experience in organizing and leading activities for children and youth
• previous experience in sales
• driver's license (B)

Our Offer and Important Information

We are looking for staff for most of the season on hourly contracts as needed. Start is expected in March or May, or as agreed, and will last approximately until August/September with the possibility of work during our autumn season and especially our event Autumn Light 2026.

The work often includes evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Our peak season is during the summer months, and therefore there is limited opportunity for time off during this period.
